Position Description:

  • Set strategy, manage and evaluate sourcing, developing and negotiating process, ensuring competitiveness of contract labor and service agreements, while limiting risk to CASI.
  • Procurement of non-inventory expensed commodities, bulk consumables, fixed assets and supplies.
  • Provide analytics and reporting to support cost reductions and improve supplier performance that result in tangible benefits to the bottom line.
  • Leverage changing market cost drivers to evaluate and purchase materials and services at a competitive cost.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to assess realized benefits from sourcing and develop improvement strategies.
  • Become Subject Matter Expert of category specific information on spend and supplier performance relative to industry benchmarks.
  • Utilize category/commodity knowledge to support business objectives.
  • Executes purchase orders and supply-chain initiatives as directed by management; maintains corporate cost objectives and maximizes discounts; verifies orders and receipt of purchased commodities and services.
  • Confirm purchase orders with vendors; maintain and report purchase order status to ensure on-time delivery; process item receipts into accounting systems; process and maintain returns of materials and goods.
  • Facilitate and maintain daily shipping and receiving activities in the warehouse; identify and properly distribute item receipts; facilitate material handling needs throughout the warehouse.
  • Liaison to engineering and project management departments; disseminates engineering bills of material to procurement and fabrication; coordinates internal and external fabrication and services.
  • Manage and maintain inventory and vendor-managed items, stocking levels and inventory integrity; produce regularly-scheduled inventory counts and properly update records; report on trends.

Qualifications Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Procurement, Inventory Control, Production Planning, and Forecasting.
  • Experience with interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings and BOMs.
  • Experience in parcel and freight logistics.
  • High level ERP system experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Project, and Word.

Additional Qualifications Preferred:

  • Minimum BS degree, accounting, management, or engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years managing people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of DFW area supplier base.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts Kanban, pull system, supply chain.
  • Experience in contract negotiations.
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical assembly build to suit environment.
  • Experience with xTuple ERP systems or other SQL based ERP systems.

Job Responsibility:

The candidate will be responsible for working on a design team responsible for electrical machine design by producing drawing packages including power distribution, digital IO, panel designs for machinery, control circuitry, and equipment. All manufacturing will be built to print, adhering to pre-established guidelines of CASI’s engineering specifications. The candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Engineering Manager in the design, build and test of Robotic and automated systems. Troubleshooting, and updating initial electrical designs, such as schematics, and bills of material including support of manufacturing personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science: Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of electrical design experience
  • Ability to design and create electrical schematics in an industrial controls application (i.e. PLC, Robotics, digital I/O Low Voltage Controls)
  • Experience in low voltage (<600VAC 3 phase) power distribution
  • Experienced in the use of AutoCAD Electrical
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to walk, stand and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment
  • Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20%

The candidate will be responsible for setting up, constructing, checking, and troubleshooting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment. All manufacturing will be built to print, adhering to pre-established guidelines of CASI’s engineering specifications.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years of experience in constructing, installing, repairing and/or maintaining conveyance and automation equipment.  Technical degree or certificate (EET, MET, CT, ETS) a plus.

  • Perform mechanical construction from prototypes and engineered drawings.
  • Perform electrical wiring from prototypes and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings, diagrams and work instructions.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, motivated, self-starter.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
  • Ability to solve problems in an effective manner.
  • Ability to help lead less experienced team members.
  • Control Panel Design is a plus.
  • PLC knowledge helpful.
  • Computer experience, email, spreadsheet input and report input.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and recline on concrete floor for 8+ hours.
  • Must be willing to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

All successful candidates must have:

  • Supply all standard mechanical and electrical hand tools required to perform their job.
  • Must pass background check and drug test.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Produce two forms of valid identification/documentation.

  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing support and process improvement
  • Familiar with Solidworks, Autocad and ERP BOM documentation
  • Local DFW area
  • Immediate availability

Requirements:

  • Have experience setting up a Lean production line and work cells.
  • Must understand Lean concepts of Kanban, 5S, Kaizen, single piece flow.
  • Able to solve problems with flow using quick and simple solutions.
  • Implement solutions and direction on an aggressive time schedule.
  • Able to motivate and direct varied workforce.
  • Use simple metrics to analyze problems, Perato charts, spaghetti diagrams, tact time studies.
  • Develop work instructions and quality documents for work cells.
  • White or Yellow belt certification a plus but not necessary must understand concepts and terminology.
  • 3-6 Month Contract 1099 position initially with potential hire as regular full-time employee.
