Position Description
We are seeking a motivated, self-managed Procurement Group Manager who will be solely responsible for procurement of materials and services, organize and manage daily activities of purchasing agents. Duties will include but are not limited to effectively managing vendor relationships, ensuring quality of materials and services, and executing competitive pricing and contractual terms in support of company, factory and project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Set strategy, manage and evaluate sourcing, developing and negotiating process, ensuring competitiveness of contract labor and service agreements, while limiting risk to CASI
  • Procurement of non-inventory expensed commodities, bulk consumables, fixed assets and supplies
  • Procurement of mechanical, electrical, and fabricated components and subsystems
  • Provide analytics and reporting to support cost reductions and improve supplier performance that result in tangible benefits to the bottom line
  • Leverage changing market cost drivers to evaluate and purchase materials and services at a competitive cost
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to assess realized benefits from sourcing, and develop improvement strategies
  • Become Subject Matter Expert of category specific information on spend and supplier performance relative to industry benchmarks
  • Supervise the Purchasing Agents and provide ongoing group planning and direction in support of CASI goals
  • Utilize category/commodity knowledge to support business objectives

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7+ years purchasing experience, with some focus on indirect category
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Finance or Engineering
  • Ability to complete tasks and maintain deadlines in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Experience with mechanical drawings, specifications and documentation
  • Experience with SQL based ERP systems
  • Experience with parcel & freight logistics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts, Kanban, pull systems, supply chain management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint

Position Description
A highly visible position that will manage customer relationships as well as operational initiatives by working with Sales, Applications Engineers, Design Engineers, Manufacturing, Controls, Robotics and Software to provide project-based automated solutions from inception through site delivery and customer acceptance. Tremendous opportunity for an ambitious, energetic Project Engineer/Project Manager to make a difference in our growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead both project engineering and project management efforts
  • Lead projects in a transparent and productive way, utilizing standard project management practices
  • Effectively communicate project status with CASI leadership team as well as with external customers
  • Interface and communicate effectively with all functional teams
  • Develop System Requirement Document for assigned projects
  • Plan, schedule and track project deliverables and milestones
  • Troubleshoot and generate practical engineered solutions to problems during project lifecycle
  • Create project recovery and mitigation plans; provide direction and hands-on support
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time and on budget

Qualifications

  • 5+ years direct work experience in a project engineering capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven Project Management and Project Engineering experience in manufacturing and automation environments; experience with material handling and pharmacy fulfillment systems a plus
  • Previous success managing concurrent customer projects and delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Proactive, hardworking and able to complete tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Mechanical or Electrical Design experience, with success in managing product development projects
  • Experience in Critical Chain project management
  • Preferred formalized project management training and certifications (CMP, PMP)
  • Ability to walk, stand and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment
  • Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment

  • Use Company ERP system on computer interface
  • Receive material shipments, verifying against purchase orders for accuracy (plus electronic transaction)
  • Relocate / put-away received inventory (plus electronic transaction)
  • Input product items and description information in current inventory
  • Work and assist the accounts payables department
  • Issue components to customer projects per work order pick lists
  • Support in the completion of and recording of regular location cycle counting
  • Participate in major physical inventory counts conducted throughout the year
  • Handle the resolution of inventory discrepancies and procedural inquiries
  • Work with the entire team and maintain flexible attitude supporting all stated objectives
  • Develop accurate, consistent, and enhancements to the inventory processes (via continuous improvement)
  • Have knowledge of and perform packing and shipping of outgoing parcels

Company Description

Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for setting up, checking, and troubleshooting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment. All manufacturing will be built to print, adhering to pre-established guidelines of CASI’s engineering specifications. Will travel to customer sites to participate in and support CASI system installations, implementations and start-ups and training. Represent CASI to our customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in installing and/or maintaining conveyance and automation equipment. Technical degree or certificate (EET, MET, CT, ETS) a plus.
  • Willing to travel extensively (2-3 weeks per trip) within continental US and sometimes abroad. Valid Passport or ability to attain required for international travel.
  • Capable of traveling with short notice.
  • Able to communicate well (verbal and written), as well as interface directly with customers.
  • Experience in system layout, component pre-assembly, conveyor installation, guarding, air piping, detailing and run-in of installed equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings, diagrams and work instructions.
  • Experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
  • Proficiency with PLC’s a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, motivated, self-starter.
  • Ability to help lead less experienced locally hired personnel.
  • Computer experience, email, spreadsheet input and report input.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and recline on concrete floor for 8+ hours.
  • Must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

  • Work with suppliers to implement and improve raw material packaging functionality.

  • Provide continuous material supply from bulk storage to work cells in a high-volume production environment.
  • Develop and perform cycle count program with weekly and monthly counts and report discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics, supply chain management, distribution practices, inventory management and production environments desired.
  • Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • MRP/ERP experience required (SAP, Oracle, AS400).
  • Knowledge of standard inventory management and receiving policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Knowledge of mathematics.
  • Punctuality.
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Experienced forklift operator and the ability to be certified at our facility.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager.

  • Submit invoices to customers and track payments received. Some of our largest accounts use web based invoicing systems.
  • Post customer payments received into the company’s ERP system.
  • Follow up on delinquent AR with customers.
  • Prepare monthly spreadsheets as assigned.
  • File documents.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 Years of Accounting experience. College level courses a plus.
  • Familiarity with the use of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, AS400) with respects to accounting systems.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • Must work well with others as part of a team.

  • Develop and debug PLC programs
  • Perform system startup and I/O checkout
  • Perform on-Site system start-up of systems at customer’s facility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSEE, BSME) or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience with automated equipment/systems controls
  • AutoCAD and electrical print experience
  • Extensive PLC programming experience:  Allen Bradley, Turck, Wago, etc.
  • Robotics Programming a plus
  • Knowledge of electrical devices and components
  • Remote I/O and HMI programming
  • Communications/Mod Bus TCP
  • Experience interfacing with SQL databases
  • Ability to walk, stand and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment
  • Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Willing to travel
