Position Description:
Cornerstone Automation Systems is seeking a creative, innovative, and organized software development operations engineer who enjoys a dynamic work environment. An ideal candidate would help facilitate the customer service team and software development team throughout the System Development Life Cycle of CASI software deliverables and support of systems once they have been delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with service group to document and analyze commonly occurring customer pain points.
  • Make recommendations on first level support troubleshooting based on general categories seen in observations.
  • Make recommendations for software code improvements that can be accomplished through a software release.
  • Establish general use cases and design specific testing criteria per project.
  • Take the lead on tracking and documenting test results and communicating them with developers and software managers.
  • Use product knowledge to assist in debugging and regression testing.
  • Review user manuals for accuracy and provide guidance to technical writer when needed.
  • Lead release retroactive with an emphasis on lessons learned.

Qualifications:

  • Windows based applications.
  • Client-server applications.
  • Embedded systems with an emphasis on automation.
  • C sharp proficiency or knowledge of VB a plus.
  • SQL database a plus.
  • Ability to parse customer complaints to ascertain true issue and not customer facing symptoms.
  • Ability to engage in technical conversations and to simplify the context for non-technical stake holders.
  • Understand embedded systems and the role software plays in order to perform real root cause analysis.
  • Solid knowledge and hands on experience in test design, development, and execution of test cases in support of software.
  • Willing to take the initiative and think outside the box.
  • Self-driven to solve problems and initiate better processes.
  • Degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years professional experience required, preferably in systems-oriented environments with demonstrated QA skills.

  • Have two forms of valid documentation.
  • Pass a criminal background check.

Position Description:
Cornerstone Automation Systems is seeking a creative, innovative software engineer who enjoys a dynamic work environment. An ideal candidate would contribute to the overall coding and design of technology solutions that address the business needs in a fast-paced agile environment. We are seeking a .Net developer proficient in Visual Studio 2010 or newer, SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012. A candidate with a knowledge and understanding of data driven applications from design to implementation who later leverage best practices for developing scalable solutions. In addition to new Web, Windows and Database development, there are opportunities to upgrade/migrate existing interfaces to the latest technology.

Responsibilities:
Under the guise of a senior developer or software manager, the candidate will:

  • Attend meetings with customers to gather and document business requirements.
  • Execute database queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in acceptance, development, testing and applying non-critical software code changes accordingly.
  • Gain knowledge on all product lines and potentially become a subject matter expert in particular areas of interest or importance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the following:
    • SQL Skills (Oracle or SQL Server): designing tables/schemas, stored procedures, user-defined functions, ETL jobs.
    • C# or Java
    • Windows App
    • Windows Services
    • Source Control Tool, preferably Team Foundation Server, but also would consider experience with Git or Subversion
  • Ability to walk, stand and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment
  • Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Resourceful and self-driven
  • Ability to change priorities
  • Willing to travel (10% depending on project)

Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in constructing, installing, repairing and/or maintaining conveyance and automation equipment. Technical degree or certificate (EET, MET, CT, ETS) a plus.

  • Perform mechanical construction from prototypes and engineered drawings.
  • Perform electrical wiring from prototypes and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings, diagrams and work instructions.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, motivated, self-starter.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
  • Ability to solve problems in an effective manner.
  • Ability to help lead less experienced team members.
  • Control Panel Design is a plus.
  • PLC knowledge helpful.
  • Computer experience, email, spreadsheet input and report input.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and recline on concrete floor for 8+ hours.
  • Must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Will travel to customer sites to participate in and support CASI system installations, implementations and start-ups and training. Represent CASI to our customers.

Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in installing and/or maintaining conveyance and automation equipment. Technical degree or certificate (EET, MET, CT, ETS) a plus.

  • Willing to travel extensively (2-3 weeks per trip) within continental US and sometimes abroad. Valid Passport or ability to attain required for international travel. Capable of traveling with short notice.
  • Able to communicate well (verbal and written), as well as interface directly with customers.
  • Experience in system layout, component pre-assembly, conveyor installation, guarding, air piping, detailing and run-in of installed equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings, diagrams and work instructions.
  • Experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
  • Proficiency with PLC’s a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, motivated, self-starter.
  • Ability to help lead less experienced locally hired personnel.
