Material Handler
Cornerstone Automation Systems (CASI) is a privately held, state-of-the-art software, engineering, and production company that designs, manufacturers, and implements turnkey intelligent automation order fulfillment systems for warehouse and central pharmacy operations that serve a broad base of industries. The Company is owned by Management and other investors.
Position Description
The Material Handler will work with a sense of urgency and be able to manage multiple lists of priorities throughout the day. Aspects of the job include the ability to load/unload large, small, and oddly shaped parts, and materials within the building. Excellent communications and coordination with supporting departments is required to assure that the company’s overall quality goals are achieved.
Responsibilities
Provide continuous material supply from bulk storage to work cells in a high-volume production environment.
Stock production lines with raw materials according to run rate
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled.
Unpackage, stack, or assemble materials into bins, racks, or bundles.
Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
Perform and report cycle counts
Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Position Requirements
Ability to become a certified forklift operator within three months of employment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are a must
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several raw material variables in standardized situations.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, while working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Maintain a positive attitude while bending, standing, walking, lifting, and moving.
Must be able to maintain attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
All successful candidates must have:
Have two forms of valid documentation.
Pass a criminal background check.
Pass a drug test.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
