PediPlace’s mission is to make healthcare a reality for every kid. The North Texas organization provides primary care to families who are uninsured or eligible for CHIP or Medicaid. The organization serves around 80 to 90 children per day. In addition to providing physical health care, PediPlace has a program that provides new books to children that come to the clinic for a preventive care visit between the age of five months and five years.
“There isn’t anyone else doing what we’re doing,” said President and CEO Larry Robins. “We are the exclusive provider that is not affiliated with a hospital organization to provide primary care pediatric services at the fees and so forth that we do,” Robins stated.
CASI’s Community Grant is targeted towards funding services provided to uninsured children. The money is allocated towards the payment of doctors, nurse practitioners, medical supplies used in the visit and more.
